  1. Alan Lloyd Not always, in older ages it used to be an ''alliance'' between two different roles that applied to the two different genders that were supposed to procreate a child. A child of which the mother was responsible for providing its necessities for being(emotional support, food and basic education) and the father was responsible for his well-being, the symbol of connecting him with society and show the child its place in the world and society. That's not the case anymore, thanks to modern capitalism, women became just like men, working to get money while being taxed as well. Since everything is reduced to the private sector nowdays, the father stopped being the symbol he used to be and became a simple ''mother-supporter'' while both parents cannot well educate their child because of working and being tired. While the role of education and emotional suport was replaced by teachers, school, psychologists and so on. Modern family has no distinction of roles anymore and has lost all emotional foundations and that's why it became nothing but a business contract, in other words: broken!!
