Yeah ''white people''(which btw do not exist, races aren't constitued scientifically by skin colours, Arabs are Caucasians, of the same race as Nordics) may have abolished slavery in the 19th century but the problem is things are a little more complex than that and history is never black and white. For it was in the interests of colonialists and imperialists back then(the pro-colonialists wee ironically the greatest supporters of abolitionism) to abolish traditional slavery because during the industrial revolution it was in the interest of capitalists to bring people from colonies to europe for cheap labour and so replace traditional slavery with wage slavery. The conditions of traditional slavery had much been improved during that period and when these still existed the bosses of traditional slaves were forced to feed and support them, a right they lost after traditional slavery was abolished and became tools of exploitation to the industrialists. That's why many slaves actually SUPPORTED traditional slavery compared to what came after. So yes reality is very ''gray'', neither black nor white!! But the problem is people who belong to political factions(whether leftist or rightist) only see what they want to see and only behold what suits their narrow politically-coloured perception of reality.
