@dragan3659 The greeks they enslaved could not match spartans in battle. Though it's true that many revolts of Helots could have been avoided(like in Athens who because they treated slaves well they had no revolts) no matter their number almost all their revolts were suppressed. 2 spartans could face 30 quite easily. The number of foes counted very little among the Spartans. In fact they viewed their slaves and their revolts as training dummies, they expected them to revolt so that they could exercise their strategies by suppressing them.... There is a truth however in the first factor you said about the non-stop warfare. Warfare education brought them victories, but they did not have the education to keep their victory. This along with the factor that women and elders became excessively rich and formed an oligarchy are the main reasons Sparta fell.....
