It's a content issue, not a freedom of speech issue. His content was inappropriate for a high school graduation in 2022. All opinions are not created equal. Talk stupid, pay the consequences.

It gives people a sense of superiority (falsely), and they will justify that perception of superiority with whatever it takes, very often religion (a/k/a superstition). It's difficult to say, "I don't like you because you're different." It's much easier to say, "My god says you're a sinner, and therefore, so do I." If only they could produce their god-who-hates-all-the-same-people-they-hate.

Sexual orientation—gay or straight—is not in itself a "lifestyle." When you say that, you get dirty looks because people probably think you're a homophobe. Unless you can say otherwise, so do I.

@mgk357 A person doesn't arrive at your opinion on their own. Everyone is influenced. The hope is that a person finds a sense of humanity and allows good influences to overcome bad ones. Sounds like you have some bad influence in your life. Sexual orientation is not a lifestyle. And if you've been kicked off social media, I'm sure you've said worse than that.

Gay or straight, one doesn't choose their sexual orientation. If you cannot understand that, you are hopefully to have an adult conversation with.

Sexual orientation is no choice. Religion, however, is.
