  2. You're right that there doesn't seem to be any objective data as to why cities with more eclectic building materials are better for their inhabitants than cities that incorporate a lot of glass. I could only speak for myself, having lived in two major cities, in saying that a mixed architectural environment, rather than one comprised mostly of glass, makes me feel happier, more welcome, relaxed, and friendly.

  4. I disagree, so I guess it's about aesthetic taste. I've been to enough cities in the States and Europe, and I've always been much more impressed with non-glass structures, whether older or modern. I don't hate glass, but think it is being over-used.
