Superstition? No, thanks.

Right? It's like calling the round earth a hoax. Myopic idiots.

@dustincampbell4835 and you felt the need to comment lol. Funny how irritated the superstitious get over fairy tales.

@kippywylie Sure thing. The worst part for me was sleeping, which is when it was at its worst.

Rachel and Tommy? This isn't 1979. In any case, yeah, at least they had intercourse and possibly spread the infection so one of them—or just an older family member—dies.

What thick stupid you spew.

@dustincampbell4835 Don't need to be original. Just need to reflect your idiocy back at you. "...preponderance of evil men who foolishly relegate God's Holy Word to the realm of superstition," Your mythology is no more real than any of the other thousands out there. Why would you pretend otherwise? "unjustifiable hatred for God" Can't hate something that doesn't exist, sorry. You pretend that any work has ever been accomplished on your behalf to show that your god is real. Yet despite centuries of bold, hollow assertions, proselytization, witnessing and other blathering zealotry, that work still remains for you. Don't be lazy. Self-appointed mouthpieces for figment-deities are just the worst kind of people - both morally and intellectually bankrupt.

@aspiringvoiceactor645 Pat, superstitious, witch-doctor consolations such as that by the original poster, or, you know, statements like "thoughts and prayers," are by their nature offensive. They come from a place of willful ignorance. Is that where you're from, too?

@aspiringvoiceactor645 Never said anything about "allowing." Absurdities are fair game for ridicule. Bad ideas aren't exempt from scrutiny just because they happen to be "sincerely held beliefs." "Fascist dictatorship" is what religions do so well. Only the more recent criticism of religious nonsense has resulted in theists wagging their butthurt fingers and claiming such, a failed attempt at turning the tables. "Not everyone is going to think the same as you, and the sooner you learn that the better off you'll be. " Listen to you trying to educate. When an institution such as religion is at the root of so much corruption, as is religion, it's my duty and my pleasure to address its corruption and hypocrisy. It has very little to do with "agreeing to disagree," as you imply, and much more to do with the elephant in the room that cowards are afraid to address.

@aspiringvoiceactor645 "Attacking" is an interesting choice of words. You apparently are being willfully ignorant. I'm criticizing bad ideas with no basis in reality. If you see that as "attacking people," that's your confirmation basis at work. If you need to posture me as a "fascist" in order to vilify me, go ahead. You're wrong, but whatever floats your boat. "I know there's no getting through to someone like you." Incorrect. I read you loud and clear. And if a theist wants to "get through" to me when they tell me that their god loves/judges/sees me, all they need to do is prove it. But they can't, can they? They never could, could they? The truth hurts. "Your patronizing nature is a great indicator that you have a closed mind." Your responses are a great indicator that you're unable to address any talking points. Try to do so if you respond again.

@aspiringvoiceactor645 "Corruption isn't solely restricted to just religion." Nor did I indicate it was. Your point? "You are being brainwashed in some way shape or form, you just choose to focus on the religious aspect of it all." Because I'm focusing on religion here is no indication that I'm "being brainwashed." Again, address my talking points. Calling b.s. out is a simple matter. When people proselytize or witness in a public forum, I find it my duty to bring attention to their superstition. Casting doubt on all magical claims, I do my part to chip away at such ignorance. "Not everything you learn in school is the truth either. I do agree with you as far as religion causing pain and turmoil, but politics has also been the root of the same evil." I find truth through through education and experience. Casting doubt on empty assertions, especially when they're religious, seems to me a civic duty, no matter if it hurts the feelings or sensibilities of the asserter. It always stirs up either a "how dare you?" or often more defensive response attempting to justify the claim.

Having the vaccine doesn't preclude taking Paxlovid. I had "Paxlovid Mouth." It was very unpleasant, yet I'm still happy to have taken Paxlovid.
1
@kippywylie I would. And at least for me, Paxlovid mouth didn't take away the enjoying of tasting good food.
