So funny how fixated Trump is on Biden, where Biden just can't be bothered with Trump. More important things to do, like running a country.

Yes, the pathology of his lies of course should be apparent to everybody. More so, his lies should have disqualified him from office long ago. He's not just a pathetic excuse for a president, but also for a human being. He's got not an ounce of true humanity about him. He reeks of something so vile, I can't even describe it.

@whyamimrpink78 I didn't say he didn't talk about Trump. I said he isn't fixated on the goon.

Cute hat, Pat.

"you can't force people to like you or accept your way of life if that's not how they choose to live their lives." No, but people can grow to understand that other ways of living one's life are just as meaningful and valid as theirs, and perhaps even learn to appreciate that kind of diversity. "At the end of the day if you're not being discriminated against and you have all the rights as everyone else, why should it matter if people embrace your lifestyle." Because at the end of that one day where people are actually embracing each other's differences, I think a major shift will have occurred in human culture, and it could be magnificent.

Elementary school in the 70s - I remember that "push," too! We were told that metric is the new direction and soon we'll be there! For the same reasons, it didn't "make sense" to do it back then. But only if we had, by now we'd be caught up with "almost the entire planet."

I still don't know how anyone allowed it to happen, except I do believe Russia was involved.

"Tolerance isn't up to the job of really thinking through and imagining a more gender-liberating world." Wonderful observation

What's illegal, specifically?

I was wondering about that, too. Guess maybe we'll have to read the book. :)

But minding one's business means ignoring the embracing diversity part. Maybe we should tell people to mind each other's business with more understanding?

sunny There are points where the analogy stops, but they both are still a matter of civil rights, and on that front they are still comparable.

Trump deserves nothing less than impeachment, jail, and poverty, in that order. Only these three conditions combined would make things right.

If the guy is a big fan and wanted to know your educational background to compare his own.

At 01:35 at "...this is sort of a new one..." When you tighten your upper lip, David, you bear an uncanny resemblance to a young Jon Stewart. Both handsome men.

I bought toilet paper once and got a 4-foot-long receipt. I told the cashier that now there was no need for the toilet paper. However, you can opt to have your receipt emailed to you, which takes care of this issue. That's what I did.

I don't understand a word of Spanish (poor me). But David sounds awesome speaking it. Alluring!

I wonder how Peterson feels about Seinfeld's "Soup Nazi."

@Frosty-oj6hw Yes, that is Meidas Touch's current mission, though they occasionally cover other news. I have no problem with that. They are proudly democratic, even as they embrace a tabloidesque media style. Being obsessed with eliminating fascism means, unfortunately, being obsessed with eliminating the possibility that Trump is President.

David, in a real sense, people do not choose their religion. Children are told what to believe, are indoctrinated. Religion is a meme. It is learned, I suppose, so it can be unlearned.

Time for all MAGAts to face the reality that they can't simply spew lies anymore and expected to be taken seriously. When Trump is behind bars, maybe?

@mrquicky Just stop. He is an ally. Insisting someone who is gay who is not, and who is also an ally, is just really bad form. If it were just you, it would be no big deal. But there are so many eyeball rolling, "Oh, please" gestures in reaction to straight men's assertion of their heterosexuality, it tends to color the rest of us as bitter, cynical, and pinched. Stop.

@omegamanGXE ?

@omegamanGXE Your point?

David, you could never be too close, you handsome devil. On another note, I really enjoy your content.

“With or without religion, you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion.” — Steven Weinberg People can (and they do) justify their hate and violence via religion (a/k/a superstition). I have never seen anybody justify an act of violence with atheism.

True.

Brings up an interesting question. How do you view street-corner preachers with huge sandwich-board signs saying that certain populations are going to hell? Isn't repeatedly using a public platform to insist that certain people are worthy of eternal torture the same as stochastic terrorism? Do they get a religious exemption?

Homosexuality is part of natural selection. There are several hypotheses as to why its selected for, but it is, and it is useful.

Don't know anybody who's died from the Covid vaccine. I know one family member got sick from the J&J vaccine, but she didn't die, and she recovered. This experience did seem to give her an anti-vaxxer stance.

This "president" will go down in history as one of the United States' most embarrassing times. Look back in shame.

Well said.
