Glad you understand it from the other sides' perspective. Most people (usually Russians, East Asians, and sometimes Middle Easterners) don't have the history of chattel slavery that the U.S. did, so they don't connect the idea of putting on makeup to look African with anything bad. Of course the girl was cringey anyway, as makeup vloggers tend to be, but she literally didn't know better. I do think she should have apologized though, because ignorance was no longer an excuse (there had to be at least ONE Russian who could explain the concept of minstrel shows to her).
