  1. That last quote is a cheap copy of "two Jews, three opinions". Edit: nevermind, it is the other way around. First recorded quote is about Poles during Partition. But it still makes more sense for Jews, since their entire culture is around rabbinical debate.

  2. ​ @rob6927  Depending on how many Ukrainians stay in whatever is left of Ukraine, Poland may not be able to culturally absorb (for example) 10M Ukrainians right away. I would caution against demographic optimism especially since the political situation will lend itself well to nationalism and resisting any kind of cultural assimilation, even if by a "friendly nation". Poland may well become a divided country.
