@fiscer247 Problem is, they can't compete. At least in manufacturing, no amount of work will equal a desperate Chinese sweatshop worker, taking no breaks, being paid in an extremely cheap currency (yuan). It's impossible. There's a reason London isn't filled with factory workers and chimney sweeps. It's a cycle every country goes through, and it's (sadly) time America moved on.

@MCthesquidness When's the last time you genuinely needed a carpenter? How many Americans go out of their way to do that instead of just buying something from IKEA (which is cheaper than a carpenter could ever hope to be)? Not to mention so many people rent that investing in a high-quality, long-term product isn't feasible.
