As soon as CNN and Fox both die. They rely on money to survive, they need people to watch their advertisements and pay the companies that pay them more money, so they gotta make everything sensational!

gustavo msn Actually, we do. You hold something which we all need. Whether or not you like it, we will not allow you to burn it down. If you do, first you will suffer from less oxygen (choking, extreme heat) then so will everybody else. If this continues, sanctions will cripple Brazil.

bbc 4whitewommenz Lol @ the username Also depends on the type, Americans are soft but other white people? Naw

bbc 4whitewommenz Idk what kind of whites your talking about, most of us don't. The only ones who say that are the ones with nothing better in their lives so they use oppression as a way to find 'meaning' It's actually really sad but they're a fraction of whites

Anthony Trifoglio Tldr; strict checks and requirements for those who want to be armed. Americans' haphazard attitude toward guns, treating them like collectibles, toys or a part of your identity, instead of tools, is what creates such easy access to guns and your frequent mass killings.

@jc-zp1de American milk sucks, the Europeans have it better than us. They take pride in their work instead of keeping the cows in cages and pumping them full of hormones to make them mature faster... there's nothing all that great about American products, besides the national pride. Lower tolerances for precision manufacturing, sure. But for everything else, China is better.

@accountclosed8569 But American jobs left when Reagan was president, he opened China's markets. It's his fault...

MrEnglewood78 Don't you get it? They never will. Patriotism and capitalism don't mix. If you want the companies to make less money by paying their workers American wages, you're restricting their growth and profits. They'll never let that happen, because you'd be regulating them. Your national pride is anti-capitalistic. Why won't you let the free market go where the profit margins are highest?

@scully7733 'Completely packed' doesn't mean people are taking it seriously. The ones who are already infected, have to face the truth. But those who are still healthy can ignore the problem, until it affects them personally. There are still huge parts of the U.S. which haven't done a damn thing and the fact that people are gonna have to pay for this afterwards (because of the "fantastic" private system in this country) will make the economy slump even more.

True, but an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. If you can stop them before they even get the gun, nobody needs to be on edge or keep their right arm like Clint Eastwood. Seems like a quick and lazy solution to me.

@eddieboggs8306 Sounds like someone'e projecting. He said that mental health isn't taken as seriously in the South, not that they're mentally challenged. Those who actually have mental problems, are told to pray it away or to suck it up, instead of getting proper help.

Anthony Trifoglio Well, Russia doesn't have many mass shootings at all. We have other problems, but we've solved something you haven't. How? Strict training and restriction. Want to buy one? You need to prove you're not an idiot or mentally ill. Take tests to make sure you know how to use it. Think that we're unfree? Look at Switzerland. They're armed to the teeth even more than Americans, but the spooky government! requires everyone to learn to use a gun properly, and owning one requires constant retaking tests and keeping it locked. They're a direct democracy, value freedom of speech, not much freer than that. If a free and unfree country can do the same thing, America doing the same pay Kent affect its freedom. The two are separate.

@rhama8751 Harbor Freight isn't. Also, that sounds like restriction on freedom of choice, whatever happened to the free market?

@lukepoplawski3230 "informed autonomous choices" Well, looks like someone didn't go to college! Your ability to make choices isn't a black-white issue. Especially at 18, kids can't really be trusted to think long-term like that. And yes, that goes for trade jobs, too. A month ago they still needed at ask permission to use the bathroom. Your capacity to make choice grows over time as hormones stop raging and your brain re-wires, by about 25 y.o Just a question: the US de-industrialized, we cannot compete with people working for peanuts overseas. If not college jobs, what do you suggest people work in? Starbucks?? That's what you're trying to prevent, no?

@theleg7229 We need Europe and Russia (at least Putin cares about preserving Siberia) to tell Bolsonaro to 1) put the fire out asap 2) stop making farmland. He's stupid he doesn't think past 50 years when it's all gone. Brazil's land isn't fertile enough to grow crops that's why they keep moving farther in. When it's all gone the industry collapses because the land becomes useless— it was never fertile, and now it doesn't even have lumber or plants. Idiots.

Does he not understand that this won't make us buy American alternatives? The Chinese economies of scale are simply superior.
