  2. ​ @annoloki  The situation you described wouldn't be democratic from the outset— not because the majority decided to make a decision, but because the decision they made was to restrict the rights of others to vote (implied in slavery). I don't buy that direct democracy (with elected representatives, picked by party members— rather than being elected on party platforms) is somehow "dangerous".
