  1. Interesting idea, but this may set a precedent that cannot be undone once it is started. At least, not in good faith. Though nobody recognizes it besides Russia, South Ossetia would have the same claims (ethnicity) to unify with North Ossetia (in Russia) as the Kosovars do with Albania. This may also inflame issues with Ireland's desire to reunify with Northern Ireland. Is this a Pandora's box?
