The short term "benefits" from decoupling from Moscow (no guarantee that corruption will magically disappear) are far outweighed by the long-term.drawbacks (you're now a country with 30M people at most if we assume entire Siberia, with no military, and you have to trade with the rest of the world's countries with no leverage).
