  1.  @Spaghettimacncheese  If/when the disease mutates, assuming it's even given the chance to spread (the reason we don't have polio outbreaks anymore is because so many people have polio anti-bodies in their immune system, thanks to vaccines, that it can't spread beyond a few people); then we'll create a new vaccine and when people receive it, most will survive polio and it won't have hosts to live in anymore.
