Their nation was founded on very prudish and restrictive Puritan ideas, and the behaviors they started have survived in some form to this day. Go to Europe, any place in Europe, and it'll be totally different. People there are still normal.

  2. I completely agree, but that's a societal convention. I genuinely don't know whether that's something we will ever get back. An easier place to start is law. Instead of trying to sway an entire nation's ideas, start with 537 people. Repeal Citizens United.
