@omi691 No that's subjective and vague. The term comes from a Greek perspective, and doesn't describe much besides that. Mesolithic describes humans in between the Paleolithic and Neolithic periods, this describes not only the era but their technical abilities. European is more concise than 'North', and although in the cultural context it means 'snowy place in Europe, that doesn't mean much since ancient Greek maps weren't all that accurate beyond their immediate surroundings. Even if none of what I said were true, who cares? Scientists job isn't to market their studies, it's to conduct them. Accuracy over flashiness, every time.

@omi691 Well, they did evolve it independently, but they didn't do it first lol. Not like that really matters- people here really trying to have a dick measuring contest over something completely outside of individual human control. It just looks cool, I hope they can leave it at that.

Mullerornis Idea? Lol Also not all, only a fraction of people on the Solomon Islands. It's not an 'idea' lol, and because the gene for blonde European hair arose before the Melanesians reached the islands, by your logic it's the other way around

@omi691 Thanks for the polite reply! And, all that aside, I do think you're right- Hyperborean does sound cooler, it's just not suited for the scientific field. Great as a general term though, couldn't be worse than when people call a (scientific) hypothesis a 'theory.'
