The Mali Empire produced the wealthiest man in history, the Zulu delivered the single largest defeat to the British by a 'technologically unadvanced' nation, the Khoi Bushmen are arguably the 'purest race,' not having changed much for 20,000+ years. 'Africa' (too broad of a term but whatever)'s achievements were never non-existent, just unrecognized.

  4.  Blacka Đøn  While he's totally incorrect, you should know that Egypt 10,000 years ago was a fertile grassland. The Earth was tilted slightly differently, so the climates were very different as a result.

If Mansa Musa had enough wealth to be the inspiration for Europeans to travel to Africa, then I'd say it was pretty damn commendable and superior, be it caused by intelligent rule, favorable climate, or luck. There is no science, dipshit. This is history. Gunpowder was invented in 7th century China by Taoist alchemists. So was paper. The base 10 numerals we use today, as opposed to the clunky Roman system, was invented in India. The sails we used to cross the Atlantic were Arabic. Algebra was invented in Persia. Surgery was invented in Egypt. Metallurgy was invented in Tanzania. Everything we have, everyone has, is a result of countless cultures contributing to our collective knowledge.

  6.  @eliran9231  As long as it wasn't, then that's all I'm here for. I'm not so blind as to refuse to see that Africa has had a depressing lack of development in the last 1,000 years (bar Egypt, but it's been reduced to a regional power now). But I do want people to know that Africans of all types have been able to achieve great things in spite of their challenges (unique to them and South Americans— both continents are unfavorable to empires, due to their shape and climate).
