@megshep Jesus. I had to wait for a therapist for 6 months because my health insurance wasn't in-network. In that time, I had to drop out, and start over at another college. If I had been taken in (or at least considered right away), I could have started paying m university earlier and contributed more to the local economy. It's a shame Americans don't have your perspective. If all of us did, we'd be rioting in the streets.

Da Choppah That was an awful, convoluted analogy. Even if it made sense, which it doesn't, a "wart on your ass" isn't comparable to the lives of 9/11 first responders!! You slimy piece of garbage. They sacrificed their lives to save others' in an attack that they had no control over, and they receive nothing? For minimizing what could have been dozens more millions of dollars in fires, medical bills, and hospital visits?! Their work saved more money than they're asking for, it's only fair they're compensated for their labor. They did their job, and now their employer (filthy Republicans) don't wanna cough up the dough.

@tomofwc Except that isn't true. People still get paid under a universal healthcare system, the middlemen are just cut out. I sprained my ankle in Poland, went to the hospital right away, got checked in within 20 minutes, and had a cast on the next day. In the U.S., I had to wait for hours. You just don't know how bad you have it, and you're either ignorant (because you literally don't know it could be different) or you're in denial.

@TrolledSpice You are wrong. There is simply no way our of this. We are wasting money, and you're sticking your head in the sand. https://www.jhsph.edu/news/news-releases/2019/us-health-care-spending-highest-among-developed-countries.html

I'm very glad they're still fighting, but I have to disagree with John. I wouldn't trust McConnell with my dry cleaning, let alone a bill worth millions of dollars. He's just as opportunistic as Rand Paul, and he's blocked bills like this before
