Without Christianization campaigns by Roman and Greek missionaries, the European tribal groups would not have united to become the industrial powerhouses that shaped our world today. Especially because the European tribes were almost constantly warring with one another- what do you think the world would be like without the Byzantine Empire? Or the French, German, or British as we know them? Christianity solidified all of them. If you think Christianity is the hindrance of all progress in the world, you should read about paganism and its divisiveness.
