  2.  @JNYC-gb1pp  Because... they don't? "Pledging allegiance" isn't the same as submission. The Pledge of Allegiance you're familiar with is a pledge of submission. Being an ally just means you help one another, not that you're "one nation under God Israel". By your definition, we've pledged allegiance to Germany, Japan, England, and South Korea! Israel has a strong lobby, but if Obama can oppose Netanyahu, we're comfortably sovereign. Sorry to ruin the fun, but only Evangelicals love Israel as much as you think. Bernie Sanders has opposed their actions in Palestine as well, along with a number of Democratic politicians. Personally adoring Israel is a Republican thing, because they're Christian extremists. Not to mention that American Jews tend to hate Israel, a lot.
