  1. The capacity of you rightists to misunderstand basic human behavior is staggering. An initial decision isn't always well-informed (most smokers start smoking young) and shouldn't be considered 'their fault.' I can't fathom why you think that decision making is carried out in some vacuum, away from physiological and psychological influences. But either way, a child shouldn't be blamed for making a mistake, nor should repercussions of said mistake not be forgiven and eventually kill him. Especially in Asia, where people simply don't know that cigarettes cause lung cancer and rot the teeth, how can they make a well-informed, "legal" decision?

  2. The U.S. seems to have no problem doing that itself, though. Most stories put out about countries antagonistic to the U.S. only mention the country as a whole (Russia, Iran, Syria) but countries from whom America stands to benefit are never painted with a single brush (China, Saudi Arabia). This is despite their war crimes, which would be punished if America was morally consistent. It's not. It only cares about money, and will shift the blame away from whoever can satiate their greed the longest.
