You know that "awful" state of California? 1/8 of Americans live there. It has a GDP higher than France. And New York? Financial center of the U.S..

Is it Roman architecture, Greek thought, German engineering, Russian weaponry, or French culture? It's not a cohesive, real thing. Americans made it up because they have nothing else to be proud of. Or if they do, their lives stink. Think about it: who cares if America is powerful when my brother is addicted to opioids, and Walmart just bankrupted my town? I've got no culture of my own, so I'll make one up. There's nothing around me to suggest culture (highways? McDonald's? Football games?) so I'll base it on the color of my skin!
