I get the impression Americans just want to have all women from around the world to 'keep' for themselves. This is ironic from the country founded by sexless Puritans. Maybe they were repressed?

@luismarioguerrerosanchez4747 That's insane, because in the US it's the opposite- they think the darker Latina women are more 'real' and attractive. of course, if she gets so dark that she looks African then it resets to 0 :(

@corina.grindeanu If it's a proper title of a movie, how is the information supposed to be properly conveyed? Especially if there's another thing that already uses the "toned down" version... like an Indian movie from 2020 is just called "Gypsy". If we replace it with "Roma", it loses its identifiability. I would have no idea which movie you were talking about if you didn't use the word. My point is, sometimes it's necessary to make a point or give accurate historical information.

@corina.grindeanu Yes, I would— If I were required to accurately convey which movie I am talking about, aloud to a person who hasn't seen it, then yes. No question. For the same reason I don't describe black religious music as "N-word spirituals". It's just silly. The word needs to be said to fully illustrate the current topic. If you are walking on eggshells around the people in question, then you should find a more relaxed group of that same ethnicity to hang out with.

@corina.grindeanu I suppose they could have just shown it, but why is that your standard? The idea is still being shown, the fact that it is not spoken doesn't reduce it's presence— in fact depending on the editing it could be made more prominent. Oh, and Niggas In Paris— Kanye West. No problem at all.
