None. It has everything- geographic security and abundant natural resources. If Russia is a "besieged fortress", U.S. is a secure one. It is currently facing internal struggles, but its main goal globally is to keep things the way they are.

@JerryP7a idk, would you accept nuclear missiles pointed at Washington DC from ~200 miles away? That is huge influence on policy and economy. When they can blow you up, you are more willing to do what they say. And it seems America just wants to economically take the world's resources and spend them for its own citizens. It did so in the past (1950-90s, after WWII ended).

@user-vx2fw7qe1n You don't mind because... you get a shitty American pizza sold to you in Mexico? If you're Mexican, I can't believe this is your view. The U.S. is responsible in a big part for your cartels and how poor the country still is. You could say "over the last 30 years trade with them has made us rich!" But you forget that they intervened in Mexico's government twice. They are the reason Díaz kept Mexico poor for so long. They forced the Mexican government to ban marijuana, which led to the cartels replacing legitimate businesses. They took 1/4 of your land, including California! And you're okay with that? I feel nothing but pity if this is the reaction of the Mexicans to being manipulated for so long.

@andrerothweiler9191 Even if it does, Crimea is ethnically Russian. It has been for 230+ years lol, they will keep fighting to stay in Russia

That will be the end of the world. If a single nuke is launched, Russia will launch back. There will be no stopping once it starts. So your statement is wrong. No country will ever be "unimpressed."

@andrerothweiler9191 Not for a long time. German energy policy means that Germans have to pay extreme amounts for electricity despite producing so much. This can only happen with wealthy countries. But for a poor country? Unless they invest in nuclear (which is difficult without money), they won't achieve energy independence.

@andrerothweiler9191 and expanded for 900

@andrerothweiler9191 I don't think so. Nuclear weapons prevent this from ever happening again.

What would the new one look like? I am assuming you mean that China will be even more assertive?
