  1. To be fair, the consequences of experimenting with architecture are much greater than those of doing the same thing with music. Not to say that everyone should just wing architecture either, but apprenticeships were also rather exclusionary simply due to the limited amount of people that could be taught at a time. Now we have more capacity but each class is engrained with the same philosophy. I think a balance could be achieved in the modern world without strictly going back to the old way of doing things
