@randomguy8196 'Shit' is relative. Better a collapsed industrial state than a collapsed agricultural one. You have to understand, Tsarist Russia (because Alex III died and Nicholas II didn't industrialize quickly enough) was like European Africa- no infrastructure, mostly farmers. Like it or not, the Revolution happened because Russia couldn't wait for another good Tsar. It mushroomed Russia's industrial and scientific might and for that alone, I'm glad it happened. Consequences be damned (the cultural repression of Eastern Bloc states would have continued under another Tsar, even more aggressively).

@jotteredits Not OP, just smart design. Some of the bolts holding the lower body together would shake loose, so Soviet engineers added a piece of metal to the top of the track (the line of wheels) that hit it back into place every time the wheels made the track go around once. It was cheaper but because there were so many, Germany couldn't handle it
