@snowhole2625 Tibet as a nation won't exist. The Han Chinese are settling there and trying to intermarry, to wipe their culture off the Earth.

@Amidat Lie? This is a matter of sources. The Tibet Central Administration says that the most current number of Tibetans (about 5.3 million, as of a years ago) is lower than it was in 1959, at 6 million. Meanwhile the Chinese government says that there were only 2.9 million people at that time, and the population has increased. But of course the Chinese would say that- their interest is in keeping Tibet as their territory. Why would their answer be anything different? The number of tourists coming to Tibet is more than its entire population, and Chinese migration to Tibet has increased dramatically in the last few decades.

@Amidat No. That's demonstrably wrong. ~90% of the Native American opposition was wiped out by smallpox, influenza, and the plague. It spread faster than the Spaniards or English ever could. The Natives that survived, however, were forcibly integrated, and the scar on the United States' history will never heal. China should not allow itself the same fate. It knows better, not to do something so barbaric. And yet, Han are encouraged to settle in West China, to outbreed and integrate Tibetans and Uighurs.

@Amidat "Chinese government, there is your problem right there"... See, I can do that too! Just because you say something doesn't make it correct. Tibet had been its own kingdom for hundreds of years and its people have been separate from the Han for thousands. Why won't China let go? It isn't their land. They don't even live there. They live on the coast. Let them go. Let them be free.

@Amidat Ah yes! There's only one problem- the Tibetans are still there. And 250 years have not passed for the Chinese to completely settle into the land- this is happening now. The native population was almost completely wiped out by disease in America's case. The Chinese do not have that excuse. They must respect the territory of other nations if they want to trade with the rest of the world.
