  1. I must respectfully disagree, as an American who has visited Poland and Russia for most of his life. There are certainly dumbasses in every country, as you said, but none are as noticeable or as numerous as those of the American variety. I simply notice more loud, rude people here. And I live in Chicago, and visit Warsaw and St. Petersburg, so I think the comparison is fair. Americans, in my experience, are well-meaning in their actions, but they have no cultural base upon which to base their behaviors, and so resort to individuality as a source of fulfillment.
