  1. Wait so the ark is made of acacia? It's a shame that there is no measurement of the thickness of the actual panels of the chest, because then we could reasonably guess how damaged it is/if it survived at all... I mean 3,000 years is a long time to endure, in an age where (as far as we know) there were no sealants or wood protectants available, beyond normal oil.
