  1. 'Functional' in this case, assuming you're referring to the video, means equipped for war, not for national improvements. With Stalin in power, Communism was never even entertained. I don't mean to commit the No True Scotsman fallacy, because I don't think a pure Communist society could work anyway, but I do think we should give at least some of its elements a chance. Not everything is bad when it's state-run, unless you think bottled water is somehow better than the tap.
