If you can tell me the 21st century version of sticking a fcking drill in the ground and striking oil is, I'm all ears. Whatever the next innovation is, the overhead will be so high that few people outside of initial investors and the wealthy will reap the benefits.

If Alabama is normal to you, then I shudder to think what you consider "bad." Also, if you're working in finance or tech, not an option. You see any Silicon Valley in Biloxi, Mississippi? And location matters, too, but it's not a solution for everyone. All the warm places (that don't suck--- most of the South doesn't have a lot of infrastructure to support retirees) are taken and expensive. I can't see old people flocking to Minnesota. But, if you really wanna save, you could retire into a cardboard box!

@MedRider Not at the scale we're likely to see now. I highly doubt that we'll ever get to reap the full benefits of AI or spaceflight. To get the price down to affordable levels would take way longer than mass producing a Model T.

@cautarepvp2079 Supply and demand are constantly shifting, so making a static judgement on a field (trade jobs) is even mor ignorant than the video. If everyone went into trades, wages would get more competitive and go down. Thus, killing the whole point of going into trades (if young people are looking to make money).
