@covertpuppytwo3857 It would create distance between Moscow and Western troops. They will likely end up on Russia's border eventually anyway, might as well make that border farther west

@covertpuppytwo3857 Importance is relative. Moscow is the second larges city in all of Europe. Kiev is a far cry from that

@item6931 Why is that relevant? 1) Russia already offered it to Germany, they rejected the offer. Same with the Lithianian SSR. 2) it is not connected by land to Russia proper, so it poses no geopolitical threat. Not the same as NATO coming up to Russia's border and conducting wargames 3) Why should I care about your opinion? You are literally no one, you have no effect on what happens in reality

Gerhard Schroeder already denied any future integration of Kaliningrad, and Germany signing the Two-Plus-Four waived any legal claim to Kaliningrad (or any land east of the Oder-Neisse). 2. Militarized or not, it is an enclave far away from Russian supply lines. Could easily be bombed. 3. That's not what I asked- why should i care about your opinion?
