@argh2945 Playing Devil's Advocate: Stalin targeted Ukrainians, but tens of thousands of Russians died in Holodomor, too. What annoys me most is that Poles and Ukrainians seem to think that individual Russians are somehow responsible for their family's history and treat them as such (at least in my experience). They genuinely don't understand that Soviet =/= Russian, or that people are not governments.

@argh2945 Um, nope. Many of my Polish friends have already left for greener pastures in Germany and England in the last few years; the trend hasn't stopped. And I'd like to know by what metric you think Poland is going better than the strongest economy in Europe with a larger population to boot (and, even with a rapidly aging populace, will remain that way for a long time). I'm aware of the political developments in both countries but those industries will keep Germany running for longer than you're probably expecting— it's easy to replace Polish agriculture, not so much to replace BMW and Volkswagen.

@argh2945 Probably not— Poland's desperate for cash at the moment. The EU is restricting how much they give (which Poland was happy to take prior) because of PiS's shady business with Polish courts and immigration law. Ironically, they might just trade one type of visitor for another. (Assuming any of the Syrians even want to go to Poland— if Poles themselves are leaving in droves for England, it's a sign the country is poorly managed. Refugees go for Germany and France).
