@resigned liberal Can't be more (over the long-term, bear in mind renewables passively generate electricity) than fossil fuels. I think nuclear should be the way we go, it's by far the most efficient and makes electricity for the lowest cost. But renewables are great too, and the U.S. has more than enough land to pull it off. "Half" is ridiculous. A tiny fraction, more like. Also... we can't afford not to. The Southwest will bake unless we start capturing carbon from the trophosphere.
