@treeman8773 It's crazy because it's so modern. The U.S. covertly sterilized Native women well into the 1970's. America, being such a new nation, has the advantage of hindsight, but it chose to be shitty anyway.

@BatAskal No, the equivalent there would be like if Hawaii was already populated by Americans since 1700. Crimea wasn't taken legally, but it was almost entirely Russian. It had belonged to Russia since 1783 and was ~60% ethnically Russian until it was handed over to Ukraine as a 'gift' in 1953, under the Soviet Union. It was still over 60% ethnically Russian at the time of the takeover in 2014.
