@Garbeaux. This makes absolutely no sense, because it was the only coup that Nixon signed off on personally. It was also successful. It fulfills all the criteria he laid out. I think he's just doing damage control for the worst cases. He is still an American after all.

As a genuine question, why did they move to the US? Moving there and working there just makes the country stronger and able to keep conducting coups. Could they not have sought asylum in a country that didnt destroy their government?

@howdiscipline Lol, not even close. The founding documents you love so much explicitly protected the slave trade for 40 years after their ratification date, gave no rights to anybody who wasn't male and Germanic, and was drafted for economic, not altruistic reasons. In fact, Jefferson himself said that it should have been re-written every 20 years to reflect a changing nation, not just amended but completely redone. So your precious document is a stale piece of trash stuck in an era before the Industrial Revolution, kept alive against the wishes of the very people who wrote it. And it was in spite of its founding texts, not because of them, that people in the United States enjoy freedoms. The only true Amendments are riots. That document means nothing.

@howdiscipline What rat hicktown did you crawl out of? There is no "best" or "greatest" country. It's way easier to start a business in China. Less regulation. Germany and most of Europe has better healthcare for the average person. And their education is paid for by taxes, just like K-12. Latin America has less of a problem with race than the US. The reason people come to the US is because is uses it's military to abuse other countries, destabilize them, and then steal their best and brightest. Take Iran. The CIA overthrew Iran's elected president and then installed a dictator. Wonder why there are so many Persian doctors? Thats why. Same with Mexico— the US convinced Mexico's government in 1950 (which they also overthrew a few decades before) to outlaw weed. That's how the cartels popped up and made chaos. Cue migration. If the US kept to its own borders the rest of the world would have developed much farther.
