@MrBerndhorst Just some food for thought: if somebody commenting on a YouTube video knows about the idea, then it is almost guaranteed that actual engineers know about it, too. Even if you use the "they're just lazy and greedy" argument, there are governments willing to throw enormous amounts of cash at various pet projects (China, US, Japan). So ask yourself, why none of them have been researching this even for future military applications, or even made a scale model, if it's so useful and "totally doable"?

@thewoodweldingfabricator9300 It's more to poke holes in the idea that Elon's financial acumen or pure genius got him where he is— he's been on record questioning whether college education is still worth the money, but requires Tesla employees to have one to apply (for everything beyond factory level work, and even then it's mixed).
