  1. I don't think it's worth it. You can't have a democracy when you're dead. You know Ben Franklin's quote, that people who choose safety over liberty deserve neither? That's an example of how sheltered the US has been its whole history. Guarded by two oceans, it's easy to stand for "higher ideals"... at least with Qaddafi, there was infrastructure. Electricity. Schools. Little blooshed. I wonder if Americans had to do this, how willing they'd be to fight to the bitter end for something that barely exists in their country anyway.
