@kylesdraftvideos Not in this case. The more, smaller, insurance companies there are, the less power any one of them has to negotiate prices. If an insurer has a significant number of people under its plan, it can ask for lower prices from medical and pharmaceutical companies... or else. That doesn't exist with "more options." So people have to pay premiums out of pocket instead of having the whole system running efficiently. It's a patchwork and it's messy and expensive.
