@MistaOneGuy Joe's insistence that the Clinton Foundation was worse than Trump's deal with Ukraine was met with 'it should be nipped in the bud out of principle, they're both (acknowledging that Joe's opinion is...an opinion) equally egregious'. Where exactly is the dodging here?

@MistaOneGuy How was the example a 'dud'? It's a demonstration of Trump's business dealings with Saudi Arabia while he ran for office, a clear violation of the Emoluments Clause. Are you just saying it's a dud because you don't want it to be true?

@MistaOneGuy You numbskull... that IS the evidence! Trump made money off of a foreign government!!! That is a violation of the Emoluments Clause, clear as day!! How else can I spell it out? Saudi royals stay at hotel which Trump owned, Trump was running for President at the time. Is it sinking in? Trump took money from a foreign government. His interests cannot be trusted, and even if they could, he still broke Constitutional law.

@MistaOneGuy Fine, no insults. No, What I'm saying is Trump shouldn't have any businesses while running for or residing in office. Reagan stopped acting, Carter gave up his peanut farm, the Bushes gave up their oil companies. if they hadn't, they would also, like Trump, be violating the Emoluments Clause. You're right, there is nothing else to say. That is the smoking gun. Trump violated the Constitution while President, and should be impeached, and promptly removed from office. End of story.

Not even going to bring up that his fucking kids are working in the White House with him, and the only reason he's not thrown out on his ass, out of the Capitol, for nepotism, is because of a legal loophole.

@MistaOneGuy I'm not talking about how smart he is. I'm talking about what he did. Why are you dancing around the issue with 'maybe'? He took a thing of value (in this instance, money) from a foreign government. That is not only Unconstitutional, it presents an enormous conflict of interests beyond just shady lobbying. This is directly bribing the President, like an oil company would do with a Congressman (which is itself extremely problematic). I should remind you, his lawyer has incriminated him by accident a few weeks ago. I should hope he has better legal connections than that- he's going to need them.

@DVS1NYC I'm not talking about Ukraine; the evidence for that is still being worked through. I'm talking about Trump taking Saudi money and violating the Emoluments Clause by doing that.

@DVS1NYC Yes, it was. How many times do I have to repeat this? Trump's D.C. hotel- which he personally owned- had Saudi guests who paid him $200K for ~500 nights at the hotel. This was in December 2016. Trump handed over the Trump Organization, and by extension ownership of the D.C. hotel, in January 2017. Which means, he received the money from the Saudis. He might not leave office or get impeached. But he will be only one of two presidents to face impeachment proceedings- him and Richard Nixon. That's a bad look for the Trump name, for the rest of history lmao Can't undo that no matter how hard you try. Oh, and he might get impeached. We don't know yet. Better start counting your lucky stars now

Not at this level, since political machines in the 1890's. Imagine if Obama's daughters were getting $83M in a year. Don't hold Trump to a double standard, he's extremely corrupt, he has his kids working with him as 'advisors' in the White House, all the time. C'mon.

@DVS1NYC *Emoluments. Get it right. He did give control of the company to his sons, but like I said before, he did that after receiving Saudi money. And, he still has a stake in the company, and has expressed that he wants to go back to the company once his term(s) is over. They're not dismissed- that case is literally what the impeachment proceedings are about. Now we wait...
