@dustinpowell5981 Lol, Puritan mindset there, can't believe it's festered for over 200 years now. How about instead of getting a crime boner over every arrest, you ask why these people are committing the crimes? Is the man homeless and starving? Is he a kid that doesn't know any better? You want a crime of necessity to cost thousands of dollars to the taxpayer? You want to foot the bill when he's booked, processed, and held? Or just invest in businesses that will let him work and earn his own keep? Housing caused the gang problems, housing will solve it. Invest in businesses in the area, build public transport to the area, desegregate the city (Chicago has some leftover conservative policies making it one of the segregated in America) and change will come.

@fire rises ...Indianapolis is tiny compared to Chicago. It's like asking 'why does Vatican City have so few gun deaths??' Also, crime is rising in their cities, too. They just have a smaller starting point.

@Abc-hn5vz Because Indiana is mostly corn fields? Not as many people, not as many births, weddings, deaths, crime, less of everything goes on there. Also, have you been to Gary? I'd take Chicago over that shithole any day.

@endlessslumber441 20% of Chicago's guns come from Indiana- and those are just the ones confiscated by police. Another 10% come from Michigan and Wisconsin.
