  1.  @joshcourt1393  There's still hope. Young people are much more progressive than old. In a decade or two, we'll se the terms and fix the country, even if it's slow and grueling. It has to be done, but unfortunately it looks like we'll have to wait

  2.    I genuinely wonder (with extreme anguish, of course, but also morbid curiosity) how many people will just... die as a result of this. Especially in northern cities, the homeless might not have a place to stay during the cold. The 'halt' on evictions ends just before New Years' day, so the 30-40M homeless will be kicked out in the dead of winter. It'll be insane, unlike anything we've seen before in American history.
