  2.  @walrustrent2001  We get the measurements... from machines that measure C02 concentration in ppm? Are you really unaware of how this is done? In addition, comparing those measurements to ice cores, historical records, analyzing fossil records (which fauna could survive at which latitudes).. everything we have indicates that the world, as a whole, was cooler then than it is now. Certainly there are little fluctuations (the Little Ice Age in Europe for example) but the fact is that there is very little doubt as to the average over time.

  3. "It shows us that we are not a mistake" There's the crux of it. These people don't actually care about science or finding truth; they cling to the idea of a Flat Earth (and, in some degree, because if the whole "firmament" idea too), Christianity because they're lacking meaning or control in their lives. They don't need to be given evidence, they need a therapist. If you feel left behind or like your life is going nowhere, it makes sense that you'd make believe, and pretend that you're like the superhero in a comic book. It allows you to avoid addressing the real issues in your life.
