@warwickthekingmaker7281 Seem happier? Have you forgotten why the West once despised them (and still mostly does)? Because you can't make a marriage work that's not founded on mutual love. If you're just marrying for status and to appease your family, you'd hate it. The whole relationship becomes a constant reminder of your subservient role in your family and society. Put yourself into that situation: arranged marriages will be, whether you like it or not, about power. Say your family is just average, and you can't afford a wife with either good looks or personality. Would that be fair to you?
