@LeyvaGCL That's honestly probably why. He's always had a big ego— people who have met him personally before 2016 say he'd always offer to take a picture with them, like he'd already assumed what an honor it would be to be in the same picture as him...

@moemkane41 Sure, but Chelsea Manning and Edward Snowden beg to differ... they'll let you get away with smaller things because (even with the bad press) it suits their reputation as the "freest country on Earth", but cross a line and even the U.S. will do the same as an authoritarian regime.
