@psyxypher3881 The ones that aren't attention-grabbing are peaceful. The vast majority of them are, just the larger cities are hotbeds of conflict. Even then, it's a mixed bag. Just today, there were peaceful protests in Chicago, centered on Lincoln Park, my friend went and filmed. They're just more 'boring' compared to the juicier riots + fires + looting, so news stations don't pick it up and the people who aren't connected to anyone there, just never know that it even occurred.

That's my big concern- the movement is already fracturing. When it was just police precincts getting targeted (violent, yes, but purposeful) there was a clear goal in mind. Now it's just people letting off steam and feeling cathartic from 'sticking it to the white man' and being able to leave their houses for the first time in weeks, if not months. I think the social isolation was also a big reason these riots got so huge.

@jd9064 Asserting that you're American doesn't have to mean that you 'become white'- rather, the definition of American expands to include you. Unless everyone embraces it, it won't work.

Jaime Alonzo There's no good way of saying that in English, though. Mexican, Brazilian, Uruguayan... what about people in the United States? 'Estadounidense' makes perfect sense in Spanish. But in English, "United Statians" doesn't sound right. Even if you change the sounds so you can say it smoothly it sounds like 'United Stations' (Estaciones unidas jajaja). So that's why we just use 'Americans', there's no word that sounds good in English to describe us.

@bernardenorth ? We're not involved in this one man, this is all you. In our own country? We have too many problems right now, don't have time to mess with you.
