This depends on what you consider Leftism. Socially and economically, Leftist values have made their way into nearly every country on Earth. Equal rights for human beings? Leftists fought for those. Healthcare and education as a human right, and not a product? Leftist idea in current-day America. Voting rights for black people? I think you know the answer. The problem is that, when these values become universalized, Rightists take them for granted and try to make their origin universal as well, when (Civil Rights for instance) they clearly weren't. Leftism does have an answer to Capitalism, it is being formulated every day, and opposed every step of the way.
