@Jamicaman516 Trading like shit, in terms of value against the dollar? The capital controls aren't just to raise the value of currency. In the case of Japan, China, and (because of the war) now Russia, central banks can also use controls to keep the value of a currency low, making it more competitive for export. Something Russia has a very good reason to do right now, given how sanctioned it is.
