@vasiakosovan6957 What difference does it make that you have the right to protest if it does almost nothing? The institutions of the US won't budge because of some protesters and they know it. But they let you rage because it is a steam vent and makes you think you have it better compared to others. Think of it this way: if even a poor student with high marks can attend Moscow State uni, while a poor US student can go f*ck himself, what's the practical utility of that freedom you have? Just to say to others that you have it? One would assume that freedom would lead to a better life, but this isn't always the case. Greece got into the EU and is still poorer than before entering. Italy is facing a demographic crisis. Japan is stagnating. Meanwhile China is still developing and accounting for most global economic growth. Freedom does not always equal prosperity. Also, it's much easier to accept immigrants when you've spent the last century destroying any other competent states to challenge your dominance. Mexicans flock to very country that has been stopping it's development for over 150 years, making it even stronger and capable of doing it all over again. So sad.
